Rules

1. General rules for UFF activities

  • In case of uncertainty, Swedish law always applies at our events.
  • By participating in our events, the participant agrees to our rules and terms of participation, as well as to follow instructions given on site.
  • Always follow instructions and requests from the organizers.
  • Be kind and respectful to all participants. Appropriate behavior is expected at all times.
  • Participants are responsible for any damage caused to premises, event spaces, or other participants property.
  • UFF does not tolerate any form of harassment.
  • UFF’s work is based on our established core values.
  • Behaviors or actions that disrupt the event, cause significant discomfort to other participants, or harm UFF’s reputation and relationships may result in a warning or suspension. The board determines what constitutes such behavior.
  • Always read this document before each event – terms and rules may have changed since the last time the participant reviewed them.
You can see at the top of the document when it was last updated. Please stay up to date before each event, because this document can change.

2. Terms of participation

2.1 Target Group

UFF organizes meetups for adult furries in and around Uppsala. The purpose of the association is to provide a meeting place, rent venues, and ensure some level of funding for activities. UFF operates on a non-profit basis, meaning that everyone working for the association does so in their free time and does not receive compensation for serving on the board, volunteering, or helping in other ways.

UFF is currently run by a board consisting of:

  • Board members: Matz, Áslat, Ture, Cariel, Mink, Cai and Charlie.
  • Deputies: Flipper, Dexi and Swanbear.

2.2 Registration and participation

UFF is a private event, and we reserve the right to deny, cancel, or revoke a registration for reasons we deem necessary.

  • Participants must provide their full name during registration. This is required for payments and for possible contact with authorities, such as emergency services. At check-in, participants may be required to show ID to verify that they are 18 years or older.
  • A booking is not valid until the participant has received a confirmation email stating that they have been issued a ticket.
  • If a participant registers but cannot attend they can cancel 48h before the event. The ticket can be canceled through the ticket page. If you need to cancel less than 48h before the event, please contact contact@uppsalafurry.se. This is so the spot can be offered to someone on the waiting list.
  • If a participant is on the waiting list and get a ticket, they have 48h to accept the ticket. If they fail to accept the ticket, it will go to the next person in the waiting list. Check your email regularly to not miss any emails from us.

Among our participants are people with nut allergies. For this reason, it is extremely important that participants do not bring nuts or confectionery containing nuts.

2.3 Responsibility

Participants are responsible for their actions during our events and may be held accountable for violations of the law. In addition, participants are expected to follow our rules, terms, and instructions. Violations may result in a warning or suspension. See section 2.8 Warnings & suspension.

2.4 Conduct and alcohol

  • Our events are 18+ and Safe For Work (SFW). We treat each other as adults and party responsibly.
  • Alcohol is allowed during specified times/events, but participants are expected to drink in moderation.
If a participant becomes too intoxicated or breaks the rules, they will be asked to leave the event and receive a warning. If a participant becomes so intoxicated that they cannot take care of themselves, or becomes violent, the police will be called. Such serious incidents may lead to more severe consequences, including suspension.
  • If we need to do any extra cleaning due to a participant vomiting or similar, the participant will need to pay a sanitation fee of 300 SEK.
  • Non-alcoholic alternatives should always be available.
  • Participants must clean up after themselves and keep track of their belongings. UFF is not responsible for lost or missing items.

2.5 Dress codes – Standard / Relaxed

At our events, two different dress codes are applied. Participants are always expected to be “clean and presentable,” meaning wearing clean clothes and having showered, so as not to disturb others. Avoid strong perfumes, as many people are sensitive.

We are open-minded, but it is important that dress codes are respected. Just because something is not explicitly stated as allowed does not mean that it is. Contact the organizers if unsure, their decision is final.

2.5.1 Standard dress code

Applies as the default unless otherwise stated. This means clothing considered appropriate in public places, such as a town square. Pup hoods are allowed under this dress code.

If pup hoods are not allowed at an event, this will be clearly communicated.

2.5.2 Relaxed dress code

At certain times during an event, a relaxed dress code may be allowed, meaning certain types of clothing, accessories, and items related to “kinks” are permitted.

This does NOT mean that all forms of kink expression are allowed. Consent and respect still apply. Ask clearly and communicate openly so everyone can feel safe. Anything other than a clear “YES” is considered a “NO”.

Allowed:

  • All regular types of clothing
  • Clubwear
  • Bare torso (for everyone)
  • Underwear intended for “underwear parties” as the only garment
  • Harness
  • Leashes – only if not hanging freely; the participant is responsible for ensuring it is not a safety hazard
  • Leather clothing
  • Latex-look clothing *(non-latex materials)

Not allowed:

  • Visible genitals
  • Bare buttocks
  • Jockstraps as the only garment
  • Latex (due to allergy risk)

2.6 Fursuiting

We aim for our events to be fursuit-friendly, but cannot guarantee that all events will be.

Participants not wearing fursuits should be considerate—visibility and awareness are limited in a fursuit. Be mindful of space, give priority to fursuiters, and always ask permission before hugging, touching, or photographing someone in a fursuit.

2.7 Photography

Participants may be photographed during our events. Official group photos may be published on our channels and website, by participating the participant consents to such publication.

2.7.1 Photography in general

Photographers may only take pictures with the consent of those appearing in them, especially if the person is identifiable (face, clothing, tattoos, etc).

Photos taken by participants may not be shared without explicit consent from everyone identifiable. If a participant sees a photo published without their consent, they should contact the uploader and request its removal.

2.7.2 Photography during relaxed dress code

When a relaxed dress code is in effect, photographing participants taking part in it is not allowed. If a participant wishes to take a photo of themselves or a group photo with friends, they must ensure that only consenting individuals are visible.

2.8 Warnings & suspension

  • If participants violate rules, terms, or instructions, they may receive a warning or be suspended from our events.
  • A warning remains in effect until further notice and should be taken seriously.
Repeated violations may lead to permanent exclusion.
  • If suspended, the participant is not welcome at future events.
Suspensions may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity ofthe violation. Each case is assessed individually, and the participant will always be informed of the reason for the warning or suspension.

2.9 Personal data

We reserve the right to process participants’ personal data. This data will not be shared with third parties unless necessary to ensure the event, for example providing participant lists to emergency services during overnight events, or to police or other authorities if required. UFF otherwise complies with GDPR regulations regarding the handling and protection of members’ and participants’ personal data.
